Writing Collectives

About

Within the communities visited by the mobile library, we will establish group writing collectives. Themes or topics are to be chosen by the group, and we will meet weekly to discuss our week and our writings. Each week participants will come together to discuss what they wrote about and what they would like to write about the following week. We aim to develop spaces that foster deep, critical, and raw enquiries into epistemologies that enable collective reflection. Through interrogating our own histories, we hope to frame larger discussions of politics, society, and identity in order to document identities, struggles, and resistance in these communities. The collectives in each town will work together over the course of eight months, at the end of which Delta will organize the writings from all collectives into themed chapters and edit them with the communities. The collectives in each town will work together over the course of eight months, at the end of which Delta will organize the writings from all collectives into themed chapters and edit them with the communities.
